Shaping Siemens’ climate story in 3D

COP28 was Siemens’ largest platform to showcase its climate action initiatives — and it needed something spectacular to stand out on the world stage. Working in partnership with One Small Pixel, we created a bespoke volumetric LED display that transformed Siemens’ message into a fully immersive, audio-visual spectacle for Expo City, Dubai.

We engineered a custom content authoring and pre-visualisation system in TouchDesigner, enabling real-time preview and iteration before the physical display was even built. This workflow allowed us to synchronise 3D animations with audio narration, bringing Siemens’ stories to life — from industrial innovation to carbon offsetting, visualised as a vast 3D tree blooming in mid-air.

The final installation featured 13,440 individually addressable LEDs arranged in vertical rods, creating depth, scale, and a striking volumetric effect. The result was a centrepiece experience that drew global attention, leaving COP28 visitors with a vivid and lasting impression of Siemens’ commitment to sustainability.
